Someone was telling me about a research study that looked at the effects of training with supervision versus “advice”.
One group one met a trainer twice a week for 4 months. The other group received basic advice to increase physical activity and was provided access to a fully equipped gym. Any exercise they did was unsupervised.
What’s interesting to note is that the group with supervision lost on average 362% more fat over the 4 month period. The other thing is that the supervised group made these improvements without any dietary advice.
It’s not that surprising that a good coach can help with results. I would also assume that the fact that the group exercised together improved those results too. If you are serious about changing your body – hire a coach, it will make all the difference.
